Stellamaris Chinasa Duru — popularly known as SMD — is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Chuchin Ultimate Productions Ltd. She is an award-winning filmmaker, producer, storyteller, and creative entrepreneur passionate about producing meaningful African stories that celebrate culture, family, and humanity.
Beyond filmmaking, SMD is the convener of The Main Character Journey, a creative masterclass designed to help aspiring and established creatives discover their unique creative edge and scale sustainable careers in acting, Nollywood, screenwriting, and the media business. Through this initiative, she mentors emerging talents, shares practical industry knowledge, and empowers creatives to build thriving careers in the entertainment industry.
